Port Wentworth Planning for Growth with Fifty Million Dollar Investment

PORT WENTWORTH, GA – October 12, 2023 

The City of Port Wentworth is planning for growth with an investment of fifty million dollars to enhance and improve the quality of life for residents. Funds will be invested in the building of a new fire station and police headquarters to serve those who live, work and play in Port Wentworth. Families will benefit from an extensive new recreation park with baseball, soccer, tennis, basketball, pickle ball courts and a gym. These plans are in addition to the twenty-five million dollar investment made for the previously announced Ghost Pirates training facility which will offer two ice rinks and a restaurant. Future plans include a new amphitheater, dog park, walking trails, fishing pond and more.
